Meet the Fam...
As of July 2016, we were a normal family of four living in the burbs in California. My husband and I have been married for 10 years and we have two beautiful, smart, strong and wonderful daughters. Elena was 8 at the time and Caitlin was 3 1/2. I was working full time while going to school and my husband was working full time commuting to San Francisco, Ca..
We were busy moving from one thing to another, birthday parties, home work, school events, softball games etc. It was crazy--but we loved it! Caitlin was attending preschool four days per week when I worked. SHE LOVES HER SCHOOL!
In September 2016, all four of us caught a nasty bug. We were laid up for about a week or so....egh...
While we all seemed to recover, Caitlin's cold still lingered, so we took her to the doctor. She was first diagnosed with pneumonia, but on Halloween 2016 she was diagnosed with T- cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (cancer). We were devastated to say the least. I began to research the causes for cancer. I was shocked! There is so much "unknown" about the causes.
We decided to change our lifestyle as a family. Change the things that we can control. OUR FOOD and what we have in our home around our kids. Caitlin is still in treatment and is doing well. Caitlin will have her last chemo on February 19, 2019... Wohoo! #teamcaitlin #caitlinstrong #pediatriccancer
